I wonder if Roger Penske has started looking for the funding to run three cars full time in 2010. Will Power certianly has given him reson to at least think about doing so after his dominating victory this past Sunday on the airport tarmac in Edmonton, Canada.
The Aussie, who is running a limited schedule with Team Penske this season, claimed the pole & then lead 90 of the 95 laps to take the victory: Helio Castroneves finished second, with Scott Dixon comming home in third.
On Saturday J.R. Hildebrand had a similarly dominating day to claim the win in the Firestone Indy Lights event.
Next up for the IndyCar Series: a Saturday night race under the lights on the Kentucky Speedway oval on August 1.
In other news, the IRL has announced that they will be adding a full race weekend at Barber Motorsports Park, located in Alabama. The road course has been used over the past two years as a preseason testing site.
I appologize for the tardiness & brevity of this report & the lack of a link to the "box score", but until my work/moving situation gets a bit more settled, this is how thing are likely to be for a bit.
