After having nearly ideal weather conditions on Pole Day, the rains returned today to Indianapolis, forcing the cancellation of the second day of qualifying for the '08 Indy 500. As a result, next Saturday's qualifications sesson will be for all of the remaining 22 grid spots.
The track will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, and then will re-open to the teams (& the public) on Wednesday-Friday for more practice.
Provided that the weather holds and Saturday goes off as planned, Sunday will be "Bump Day", when squads that failed to make the show on Saturday get one (actually 3 - read my story on the quals process) last chance to make the show.
