According to IndyCar team owner Chip Ganassi, the 'mystery car' that has created such a buzz as of late - most in the media are calling it the Delta Wing car or the Bowlby car - will have it's public debut in February at a major auto show, most likely the one scheduled in Chicago from February 12-21.

Speaking to a crowd gathered for the 40th annual All-American Team Banquet, staged by the American Auto Writers and Broadcasters Association, Ganassi voiced his confidence that the car designed by Ganassi engineer Ben Bowlby will meet all of the IRL's requirements in such areas as saftey, cost and performance.

Ganassi also took time to challenge the racing community as a whole, including all of IndyCar, NASCAR and Formula One, to prove that it can remain relevant to the overall automotive industry. "We in the racing industry need to be bold in meeting and demonstrating tomorrow's technology and innovations, showcasing what can be achieved as we embark on a new era of efficiency," he said. "In order to keep the sport of auto racing healthy, it's going to take our collective efforts."
