Conquest Racing will expand it's operations to that of a two car team again, starting at the third event of the IndyCar season. Belgium's Bertrand Baugette will join the squad at the Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, to be held at Barber Motorsports Park on April 11.

The 24 year-old Baguette won the 2009 Formula Renault 3.5 title, and has tested with both the Renault and Sauber F1 teams. Commenting on his shift from the European to the American racing scene, he said; "I've always been attracted to racing in America. American open-wheel racing has a rich heritage and is a fantastic opportunity for me."

Conquest Racing boss Eric Bachelart said that Baguette will attend this weekend's race at St. Petersburg FL as a spectator and guest of the squad, and will use the opportunity to begin the process of acclimating himself to the series.

How about that. Another F1 spin off. It's good for the league to have a 24 year old baguette still show freshness.
Get rid of a few moving chi-canes like MD and we may see more decent talent showing up.
