Adam Carroll, the 2009 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport champion, has signed on with IndyCar Series squad Andretti Autosport to drive a limited schedule of races over the remainder of the 2010 season: The exact schedule and the sponsor have yet to be revealed.
The 27 year-old Carroll, who hailes from Northern Ireland, has impressed at every level as he rose through the European racing developmental ladder, and has compiled 41 wins and over 60 other podium finishes along the way.
Now, after three seasons in A1GP, Carroll is ready for a new challenge. "The IZOD IndyCar Series is clearly one of the most competitive formulas in the world right now and I'm looking forward to being introduced into the field later this year."
Team owner Michael Andretti voiced his confidence that Carroll will have a great future in the series - and with his team.
